This Easter the night sky features the Sombrero Galaxy, imaged.

Imagine standing beneath a vast, glittering sky where the Milky Way stretches across the heavens like an ancient river of light. Out in the Australian outback, hundreds of kilometres from major city lights, the night sky reveals its full majesty—millions of stars, the planets of our solar system and other celestial wonders twinkling in perfect clarity. The view of the night sky will change how you see the universe.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a stargazing experience that moves beyond just looking up—to something immersive, educational, and even transformative—then Outback Astronomy is your next must-visit destination.

The Power of the Outback Sky

There’s something about the deep darkness of the Outback that allows the stars to truly shine. Without the interference of artificial lights, you’ll see the cosmos as ancient astronomers once did. From distant galaxies to glowing nebulae, the view is unforgettable.

During the summer season, dining verandah improvements progressed – lining of the “Dinner with the Stars” verandah … delayed for three years as we needed to respond to NSW Planning about a nearby development application. Now done. It looks terrific. Hard to see but in the back of the verandah is the new big pot belly with cooktop for sausage sizzles in winter months when we need that little extra warmth.
